Happy Eid ( MondayDecember 8th)

The Eid program will In Shaa Allah be as follows:

- After khutbah, and greetings, we’ll have breakfast in the basement for brothers and on the first floor for sisters.

- On Friday 12th of December, we’ll have our community dinner from 9 to 11pm - brothers in the basement and sisters on the first floor of the Center.

- Children Eid program :

* On Friday the 12th we’ll have an indoor “moonwalk” inside the prayer hall, for boys accompanied by their fathers from 4-9pm, which will precede our dinner. The Center would appreciate that children should stop playing before dinner starts.

* On Saturday Dec 13th, from 4 to 12pm, it’ll be game day for girls. Boys who are under the age of 5 are welcomed. All kids should be accompanied by their mothers or sisters. Kindly please, no food will be allowed in the main prayer hall. We want to mention that Maghrib and Isha prayers will be held during the play time.

January 2009 Elections

Assalam alaikum brothers and sisters:

I would like to remind you that the next ISL Board Election is scheduled for January 2009. The ISL Board has formed the nomination committee for nominating candidates and conducting elections on Friday, January 16, 2009 at 7:15 PM (after Isha Prayer).

This election will be held to select 3 new board members to replace the 3 outgoing members whose term has ended. According to the ISL Constitution, we need two candidates for each position, and accordingly we need to nominate 6 candidates for the membership to elect from.

To assist the nomination committee in its search for the best candidates to serve as board members, please review the criteria of the ISL. Constitution listed below as requirement in the nominees, and forward any names you recommend to ISLnominations@ yahoogroups. com Please send your recommendation before 11/30/2008.
